Being Open and Transparent

At Profile Aesthetic, we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of transparency and honesty in all our operations.

Our commitment to the Duty of Candour is a cornerstone of our practice, ensuring that we maintain the trust and confidence of our clients and fulfill the regulatory requirements set by Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS).

The Francis Report was an inquiry led by Robert Francis QC, commissioned in response to serious concerns about patient care at the Mid Staffordshire NHS Trust in England.

"We define candour as the volunteering of all relevant information to persons who have or may have been harmed by the provision of services," as Robert Francis eloquently stated in his report. This principle is at the heart of our ethos.

The volunteering of all relevant information to persons who have or may have been harmed by the provision of services, whether or not the information has been requested and whether or not a complaint or a report about that provision has been made.

We understand that the journey of aesthetic enhancement involves not only physical changes but also emotional and psychological aspects. Therefore, we prioritise clear, compassionate, and open communication with our clients.

In the rare instance of an unexpected outcome or complication, we pledge to provide full disclosure to the affected individuals, explaining what happened, the implications of the incident, and the steps we are taking to manage and rectify the situation.

Our approach to candour extends beyond mere compliance with regulations. It is an integral part of our ethos to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. By openly addressing any challenges, we aim to refine our practices, enhance the safety and efficacy of our treatments, and ensure the well-being of our clients.
