The Dye SR handpiece delivers specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by pigment or haemoglobin in the skin. This selective absorption means the energy targets the concern (pigmented lesion, blood vessel or redness) while leaving surrounding tissue largely unaffected. Your clinician selects settings based on the type and depth of your concern. Treatment is typically comfortable, with most patients describing a warm sensation and mild snapping.
