Profhilo

Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment designed to improve hydration and elasticity from within - ideal for refreshed skin quality without “filler shaping.”

Your Trusted Partner in Aesthetics

Profile Aesthetic is a medically-led clinic in Aberdeen serving the Northeast of Scotland. Our Specialist Aesthetic Nurses deliver Profhilo within a structured skin-health plan, combining treatments where appropriate to enhance hydration and skin quality — using evidence-informed protocols and careful aftercare.

Why Choose Profhilo?

Profhilo is chosen when the priority is deep skin hydration and improved elasticity rather than volume or reshaping. It spreads beneath the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production from within — making it popular for patients who want their skin to look healthier and more resilient without any obvious "treatment" appearance.

Procedure Details

Profhilo is one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available in an injectable treatment. It is administered using a series of precise injection points (the BAP technique) across the treatment area. Unlike dermal fillers, it is not used to add volume or shape — instead, it disperses evenly to remodel and hydrate from within. A standard course involves two sessions, four weeks apart.

Before the Procedure

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours if possible
  • Tell us about: allergies, pregnancy/breastfeeding, autoimmune conditions, active skin infection
  • Pause retinoids or strong actives if advised
  • Arrive with clean skin if possible

During the Procedure

  • Typically 15–20 minutes
  • A series of small injections using the BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique
  • Mild discomfort — most patients tolerate it well without numbing

After the Procedure

  • Small bumps at injection sites are normal and usually settle within hours
  • Mild redness or bruising is possible
  • Avoid heat, strenuous exercise and make-up for 24 hours
  • Follow your tailored aftercare and SPF guidance
