We are thrilled to announce that Profile Aesthetic, one of the leading plastic surgery and aesthetics clinics in Scotland, is launching its Women's Health service. Our dedication to women's health and well-being has always been a top priority, and we are committed to providing the best possible care to women throughout Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland.
We are excited to introduce a range of new Women's Health services to our patients, including assessments for menstrual and hormonal disorders, menopause, contraception, pelvic health disorders, and STI testing. Additionally, we will offer treatments for recurrent UTIs, Well Woman and postnatal health checks, cervical screening tests, and breast checks. Our Women's Health clinic will also provide blood testing for hormone profiles and arrange imaging, such as pelvic ultrasounds.
The Women's Health service will be overseen by a specialist Dr Wendy Knoops, in collaboration with our existing experts in breast surgery, cosmetic genital surgery, and Emsella pelvic floor strengthening technology. We will continue to expand our services by introducing new treatments and consultations.
Dr Knoops is passionate about educating women and health care professionals to understand women’s health conditions. She has worked with the University of Aberdeen, as well as the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health, to promote and inspire an individualised approach to managing women’s health issues. She is interested in engaging with women in the community discussing women’s health issues, in particular related to menopause.
Within her clinical work, she aims to provide holistic consultations tailored to each woman. Her area of interest ranges from complex contraception to menopause care, including hormonal health. She provides detailed assessments for other women’s health conditions, such as menstrual issues, pelvic health concerns, STI testing, cervical screening, recurrent urinary tract infections, vaginal discharge, unplanned pregnancy, cervical screening, HPV vaccination and breast health checks. Her focus is to provide consultations where women’s concerns are listened and to advise on a tailored management plan. Working together with a range of health care specialists, she aims to provide a holistic approach for each woman.
