Mr Christopher McDonald

Mr Chris McDonald stands as a distinguished head and neck surgeon specialising in oral and maxillofacial surgery, based in the vibrant city of Aberdeen. With an academic journey that commenced at Aberdeen's own medical school, Chris honed his surgical skills at the prestigious Liverpool Head and Neck Centre, renowned globally for its excellence.

Before embarking on a surgical career, he laid a strong foundation by studying dentistry, gaining valuable experience in both general and hospital settings. Over two decades, he has dedicated himself to mastering surgical conditions affecting the face, mouth, and neck, developing a profound expertise in this intricate domain.

Currently serving as a consultant surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the clinical lead of the Grampian Maxillofacial service, his work is crucial in the surgical removal and reconstruction of cancers in the face, mouth, and neck, as well as managing complex facial trauma for both adults and children.

Chris is at the forefront of medical innovation in Scotland, particularly in introducing robotic head and neck surgery to the region. His research focuses on minimizing the adverse effects and complications associated with cancer surgery, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing patient care.

In his facial aesthetic practice, Mr McDonald is committed to reducing recovery times and enhancing outcomes.
